Time Out Cafe is one of my favorite cafes in Vista. The cafe is located on S. Santa Fe Avenue which is not too far from Highway 78. There is plenty of parking for the cafe. The cafe offers indoor and outdoor/patio seating. If you sit outside on the patio, you can enjoy breakfast, brunch, or lunch with your pup! My puppy enjoys breakfast and especially brunch at Time Out Cafe. Once you visit you'll know why. The cafe is family owned and operated. The atmosphere and service are top notch. It's a cozy/homely feel. The prices and portions are great. I always leave with a to-go box. The owners are friendly and actually take the time to chitchat and check-in with their guests. They are kind and take pride in their business; it shows.

The food was good and plenty. The service was friendly. The young gal there was the only server and cashier. She was busy and did a great job overall. I like that they serve breakfast all day till closing 2:30 pm.

The cafe is light and open, has a nice little patio. The Eggs Benedict was tasty, although the ham was rather thick and almost took over the dish. The hash browns were perfect. My 35 year old son had a hard time finishing the breakfast burrito, which he said was perfect. The server was attentive and very pleasant. I look forward to going back soon.

Stumbled on this little breakfast place in a strip mall on the Santa Fe Highway. The service and food was so good we drove 45 minutes back there every morning for all four days we were nearby. Be advised they are CLOSED on Monday. Our group recommended the hash, biscuits & gravy, crepes, and the has browns. The wait staff and cook are delightful, and the place is full of locals, which is always a good sign. We also recommend the large cinnamon rolls. Be careful as some of the portions (biscuits and gravy) are HUGE! They have indoor and out door seating, as well as a strong to-go business.
